Why Laundré Exists

Modern white kitchen with a built-in washer and dryer.

Laundré was created by a local Santa Cruz family after more than a decade of raising kids, building businesses, hiring babysitters who eventually went off to college, dealing with cleaning helpers who didn't show up, and paying companies extra for things that felt like they should have been part of caring for a home in the first place. We kept running into the same problem: there were plenty of people and companies offering pieces of household help, but no one actually taking responsibility for the whole experience.

Someone could clean the house, but wouldn't touch the laundry. Someone else could wash the laundry, but we'd still be left with baskets to put away. Even when we found great people, we still had to spend time and energy on the house.

That's where Laundré came from. Laundré was created after years of building companies while carting kids to baseball. Years of managing a household and an executive team at the same time. Years of realizing that the few hours we had left at the end of the day were often being spent folding clothes, resetting the kitchen, or figuring out who was coming to clean the house that week.

We knew there had to be a better way to help a household run.

And we couldn't find it here.

So we decided to build it.

For the People We Serve

Entrepreneurs

Laundré exists for entrepreneurs and professionals who love what they do and would rather spend their time building their next venture than folding clothes for hours every week.

Busy Families

It exists for busy families who don't need another company, calendar, or person to manage.

Time Together

And it exists for the families who would rather spend the end of the day snuggled on the couch with Mom than watching her scrub the kitchen counters.

For the People Who Work Here

Our team is the heart of Laundré.
We believe the people trusted to care for our members’ homes should be treated with the same care and respect we expect them to give our members. That means creating jobs where people are valued, listened to, given opportunities to grow, and paid wages that reflect the importance of the work they do.
It’s hard to expect someone to bring consistency, attention, and care to their work when they’re worried about making rent or working for someone who doesn’t treat them with respect.
We want Laundré to be a place where people are paid well, treated well, and proud of the work they do. Because when the people behind a system are supported, the entire system works better.

What We Believe

Listen to understand, not just to hear.

Do what you say you're going to do.

Communicate when something changes.

Treat people how you would want your loved ones to be treated.

Don't create more work for the person who hired you to make their life easier.

Never forget that being invited into someone's home is personal.

The same values we carry in our hearts, our homes, and our companies, we carry into yours.
